Avleen Masawan

Sydney-based writer Avleen Masawan pens poetry, songs and fiction. Her work has been published in MindWell Poetry and the Australian Fairy Tale Society ezine. During the day, she works as a content writer for a consumer review website.

Avleen recently completed her first poetry collection, Star Child, and is working on a second one called First World Problems. Themes of growth, redemption and social justice make her blood sing.  

When not writing, Avleen enjoys hugging her dachshund Atticus’s wriggling body while attempting to plant numerous kisses on it, and sampling as many vegan ice cream flavours as humanly possible.
