Ruramisai Charumbira
I am a poet-historian. I currently living with my family in Switzerland. I am a poet who became an historian and am now making my way back to poetry so I can balance both sides of my brain. I write poetry because the historian's enterprise and its demand for 'objectivity' sometimes freezes the mind. In poetry is the synchrony with the nature of our being. Poetry illumines my life and my work. I see poetry in everything around me here in the countryside where nature is always brimming with lessons, mundane and profound, including in my ever-frolicking threeyear old Portuguese Water Dog.
